Dr. Pillai鈥檚 presentation,聽鈥淭-B collaboration, B cell memory and autoimmunity,鈥澛爄s scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday,聽April 22, 2026, in TBL 2 at the W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus in downtown Kalamazoo. A pizza lunch from Jets will be provided for attendees.聽聽聽

Dr.聽Pillai聽is a professor of medicine and health sciences and technology at Harvard Medical School. He serves as program director of an NIH-funded Autoimmune Center of Excellence at Massachusetts General Hospital聽and director of the Harvard聽Immunology PhD and聽Masters鈥櫬爌rograms.聽
Dr.聽Pillai鈥檚聽lab explores basic questions about the function of the immune system in health and disease.聽His lab currently pursues three main directions:聽the immunological and epigenetic mechanisms underlying chronic inflammatory diseases, the molecular basis for self-renewal and memory in the immune system,聽and聽O-acetylation of sialic acid and the regulation of immune signal strength.聽
